The Trinity
We believe that God has revealed Himself through the scriptures in these three modes of existence, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, that each of these is presented to us as a divine person, to be distinctly recognized and adored, yet that they are the same essence and are of God. (Matthew 28:19, Hebrews 1:3, John 14:26)
-
Satan
We believe in the reality and personality of Satan - that he is a created being once known as “The anointed cherub that “covereth”, Ezekiel. 28:11-19, that through pride he fell; that he is the “god of this world” and the “prince of the powers of the air”; and that he will be judged at the rvelation of Jesus Christ and ultimately cast into the lake of fire. (Matthew 4:1-11. Isaiah 14:12, Luke 10:18, Ephesians 6:10-12)
-
Creation
We believe that God made man in His own image and that man came into the world by direct creation of God and not by evolution; that this creative act of God was separate and distinct from any other work of God. (Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:7, Genesis 2:18, 22, 23)
-
The Fall of Man
We believe that through disobedience man became a fallen creation, totally depraved and is now spiritually destitute and dependent on the mercy of God for salvation. (Genesis 3:1-24, Ephesians 2:1-9)
-
Atonement for Sin
We believe salvation to be by grace through faith, wholly apart from human merit and that every individual is a sinner by birth and choice and therefore must exercise personal faith in the redeeming work of Christ on Calvary to be saved. We also believe that the believer is kept by the power of God. (John 3:16-18)
-
Sanctification
Those who have been regenerated are also sanctified by God’s Word and Spirit dwelling in them. This sanctification is progressive through the supply of Divine Cornerstone Community Church Strength, which all saints should seek to obtain, pressing after a heavenly life in sincere and willing obedience to all of Christ’s commands.
-
Forgiveness
Description goes hereWe believe it includes the pardon of sin, and the gift of eternal life on principles of righteousness; that it is bestowed not in consideration of our works of righteousness, but through Christ on the grounds of His perfect life and expiatory death. (Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:1-10)

The Local Church
We believe that a Local Baptist Church is a body of baptized believers in Christ, organized on the principles of the New Testament, voluntary and permanently associated for the purpose of the ministry of the Word, the observance of the ordinances, the mutual edification of its members and the spreading of the Gospel. We believe that every born-again believer should become a serving member of a local Church. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). The Cornerstone Community Church Ltd. in Westmorland County, New Brunswick shall always have local autonomy.
-
Baptism
We believe that Christian baptism is (a) the immersion in water of a believer; (b) in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost/Spirit; (c) to show forth our union with the crucified, buried and risen Christ, also our death to sin and our resurrection to new life;(d) we hold it to be a condition of Church membership; (e) approaching an age of understanding; (f) exception for special cases at the discretion of Pastor(s) and Board of Deacons.
-
The Lord’s Supper/Communion
We believe the Ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, wherein the believer partakes of the two elements, bread and cup/wine, should be observed as Christ said, “In remembrance of His broken body and shed blood” for us. The Lord’s Supper shall commemorate Christ’s dying love for us till he comes again. (Neither Church membership nor baptism by immersion shall be pre-requisite to the partaking of the Lord’s Supper. Any person who is genuinely saved in fellowship with God shall be welcome to fellowship in this ordinance). The Lord’s Supper shall be observed as often as the Pastor and Church deem it best. (Luke 22:19-20)

The Resurrection, Return of Christ, and Related Events
There will be a general resurrection of the bodies of the just and of the unjust; the righteous in the likeness of Christ, but the wicked to shame and everlasting contempt.
-
Evangelism and Mission
It is the duty of every Christian, and the duty of every local Church of Christ, to seek to extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. Missionary effort on the part of all rests upon the spiritual necessity of the regeneration of every person to obtain eternal life. It is also commanded and repeated in the teachings of Christ. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by personal effort, and by all other methods sanctioned by the Word of God. (Matthew 28:18- 20)

Marriage
Marriage is defined as being the union between a man and a woman. (Mark 10:6-9, Matthew 5:31- 32, Matthew 7:2- 3, Leviticus 18:22)
